The Boy on the Bridge

by Gareth Pilkington

Read by AWL on 12 January 2009

Jonjo has opted for a life on the road with the express intention of seeing every bridge in the world. He has sorted out the meaning of life and one thing he does not need is other people. He sets up home on a disused bridge on the very edge of a town. It has a protection order, yet no one goes there because it is overgrown and hard to access. But he is not the only one who sees the bridge as a place of escape. Following an unexpected interruption to his daily routine, he learns that other people cannot simply be ignored. His views of life are about to change for ever.
