Gaye Poole originally trained as both a general and a psychiatric nurse but left to train as an actor in her late twenties, realising that she liked the ‘audience’ of visiting time more than bed baths! This experience coupled with a method training at East15 has enabled her to inhabit characters and convey very real performances, something she has striven to convey in both role-play and theatre for the past 30 years. Gaye is also a writer, and creates bespoke scripts for training and conferences in the world of health and social care, and is currently touring her own play Memory Exchange.
”A director once described me as ‘a Porsche’ of emotions’... I can get to real tears, anger etc very quickly!”
