Richard has been writing for the theatre for several years, has had success at festivals and competitions and has had his work produced in and outside of London, including The Pleasance, Theatre 503, The Red Lion, The Bread and Roses, The Chiswick Playhouse, and in Brighton and Chelmsford.
His most successful play to date is Room Service, which had five-star reviews and received an Offie commendation. Prior to Covid-19 the company who produced Room Service were planning to stage the play for a longer run in London and liaising with a team keen to make a film of the script.
An independent producer recently circulated his work at the BBC and Audible. The BBC has shown interest in his work on other occasions and he recently had a rave critique from the National, which he is too embarrassed to share.
